HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR PICTURES BACK?

At the end of your session we will set up a gallery viewing appointment. This is where you will view your entire gallery of all the final edited images and order any products you may wish to purchase. Your entire gallery will be complete and viewed 2-4 weeks after your session date. Most are edited sooner but it all does depend on how busy we are!

WHEN WE WILL RECEIVE OUR WALL ART PRODUCTS?

We will hand deliver your wall art products to your home 4-6 weeks after your order has been placed. Time frame may be extend to 7-8 weeks if you order more than fifteen products. 

CAN I GET RAW FILES?

These images have been fully retouched (blemish removal, skin smoothing, color enhanced, etc.) and are ready for the world to see. I only release fully edited images. Not only to protect my brand, but to also ensure you are receiving a fully-finished portrait. After all that is what brought you to us in the first place!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY SESSION?

We suggest you book your session at least 3 months in advance so you have enough time to make all your payments, get your outfits together and for us to plan the session takes a few weeks. There is a lot of detail that goes into your session from posing to outfits and locations, so we want to make sure we plan it out the best we can to give you the best experience possible!

HOW LONG WILL MY SESSION LAST? 

We offer a few different packages so it really all depends on which package is right for you at this time, the amount of hours during the session are listed in those packages. More time can be added during the session for an fee of our current session fee rate per hour. (Extra time added must be one hour at least)

CAN I REQUEST SPECIFIC PHOTOS TO BE TAKEN (E.G. GRANDCHILDREN/GRANDPARENTS, SOLO OF KIDS.)

Of course! If you have certain images you would like re-reacted, new ones you would like to try out or even any poses you haven't been photographed in that you would like to have captured, please us know before your session so we can pose you properly and get those images for you!

WHERE WILL OUR SESSION BE? 

We travel all over New Jersey so your session can be held at location in the state. If you are an out of state client or wish to have your session out of state we do charge a travel free of course it depends on how far away the location is from our studio in Toms River, New Jersey as well as how many hours it will take us to travel back and forth along with how we will be traveling. 

CAN OUR PETS BE A PART OF OUR PHOTOS?

Of course, pets are apart of the family! We only ask that if this in a public location and if you have an exotic animal that you check with the town first if your animal is allowed or if a permit is required.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE PHOTOS?

You can include anyone you would like in your photos, however after 4 people we charge $25 an extra person photographed during the session.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING? 

We ask you to always bring some water and snacks for you and your family, ladies always bring an extra makeup or wipes in case your makeup gets smudged along with an extra outfit change of course, comfy shoes since we'll be walking around from one spot to the next plus any props that you would like to include in your session!

WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO PREPARE FOR THE SESSION?

We will plan out your session a few weeks-months (depending on when you book your session and for what date you'd like to have it on) in advance and all you have to do is find an outfit to wear and make sure to arrive to your session about 10-15 minutes before your scheduled session time.

IF IT RAINS, DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO TO SHOOT AT?
At this time we do not have a studio to shoot at only because we are a team of natural light photographers which means all of our sessions no matter if it’s in home session or outdoors are photographed using natural light only. If it rains on the day of your session, we will of course re-schedule to another date within the next few weeks if possible.

WILL THESE IMAGES BE POSTED ON YOUR WEBSITE OR ANY SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKS?

Yes, a few images taken from your session may end up on our social media accounts, our website and our blog as well as any marketing materials we may use in the future and AD's. If you wish to not have your images online, used in marketing materials and AD's, there is a fee of $250 per image you would not like published and the reason why is because it is losing us potential client and showcasing our newest and latest art with the world.

WILL WE HAVE THE OPTION TO USE PROPS?

Yes of course, please bring any props you would like to the session. Whatever means the most to you, feel free to bring along!

HOW DO WE GO ABOUT SECURING OUR SESSION?

To fully book your session you must do the following, contact us to set up an apt. to meet with each other to make sure that we're the best fit for your photography session, then we will proceed with signing of our legal contract that explains our rights and your rights to the images etc., and from there on you will choose between paying in full or creating a payment plan to pay for your service and then we will go over our schedule to see when is the best date and time to photograph your session!

THE PRODUCTS LISTED ON YOUR SITE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS I’VE SEEN. IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET DIFFERENT PRODUCTS?

At this time what we have listed on our investment page is what we currently sell but we are always looking to add on so any products you would like to see us sell in the future, please let us know so we can look into adding them onto our showcase of art gallery products.

WHAT TIME OF DAY IS BEST FOR A PORTRAIT SESSION?

It really depends on what season your session is in. If you are planning to do a photoshoot in the spring & summer, 8-10 am & 4-6pm are the best times for sessions during the day. If you would like to do your photoshoot in the fall it is best be photographed around 8-10 am & 2-4pm. Please be advised, if you have a newborn baby or a child who is still taking naps, please use your best judgement on when they’ll be most active & aware, cranky and hungry babies and kids won’t give you the portraits you want. I always say about 1-2 hours after they ate and had their rest is the best time, but never before their nap or feeding time. Please keep this in mind.

WHAT HAPPENS I AM SICK OR IF YOU’RE SICK OR ARE UNABLE TO SHOOT THE SESSION ON THE SCHEDULED DAY?

If you or someone in your family is sick 24 hours prior to your start session time, please let us know ASAP. If time is passed after 24 hours and you have to cancel or reschedule your session, you will lose your session reservation, which means the date, time and location will open up for another client. In our contract it states that you have up to 24 hours to cancel or re-schedule your session for another date without being charged a cancelation & rescheduling fee. If it turns out that I am the one that is ill, I will let you know 48 hours in advance, you have the option of re-scheduling your session for another day and time, your full payment is non-refundable but it is transferable and sessions can not be cancelled.

HOW WILL WE KNOW HOW TO POSE?

You don't have to worry about posing yourself, we are trained in posing everything from seniors to families to children. We will pose you in the most relaxing and beautiful way possible!

HOW MANY OUTFIT CHANGES CAN WE HAVE?

You can have two outfit changes, including the outfit you arrive into your session. Please note that outfit changes will cut into your session time.

WHAT IF MY CHILDREN ACT UP ON THE DAY OF THE SHOOT AND WE CAN’T GET ANY GOOD PHOTOS?

We love children and always make sure for the kids to have a fun time and feel comfortable in front of the camera and our team of course! However if they aren't feeling it, per our contract we require cheerful cooperation from both sides of the parties. We have no problem taking a 5-10 minute break for the kids to take a breather, but it depends on them on how they act. This isn’t something we can reschedule for.

I REALLY DON’T LIKE “X” ABOUT ME. CAN WE SHOOT AROUND IT?

We will 100% do our best to pose you in different ways. We however do not edit any thing out, you may request our editing company to do it but they will charge for that depending on what the request is.


CAN THIS SESSION BE DONE AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS?

Of course, please note that you can have up to 2 locations in your session however time of driving will cut into your session time which doesn’t allow us to capture as many memories for you & your family.

IF YOU DO POST “SNEAK-PEAKS” ONLINE ON YOUR SOCIAL NETWORK SITE, DO YOU HAVE TO POST MINE?

No we do not post sneak peaks.

I PREFER BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES. WILL YOU EDIT THEM IN COLOR AND BLACK AND WHITE?

Some images simply look better in B&W, however everytime we edit an image in B&W we will provide our clients with the color image as well, but we will not edit every single photo in your gallery both color and black and white versions.

IS THERE AN EXTRA FEE FOR CREATIVE EDITS?

The style of images are very clean, crisp and timeless. We try not to over do it with any crazy editing as it is simply not us, however if you wish to put in a request for a creative edit for your own gallery, we will let you know if we are able to accept your creative edit request and provide you with a rate for it!

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU TYPICALLY TAKE DURING THE SESSION?

It really all depends on how much time your session is and how much time it takes to capture certain poses as well as the cooperation between all parties.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?

Depending on which package you purchase the number of digital images is listed on there.

DO YOU OFFER PROFESSIONAL RETOUCHING (E.G. ZIT REMOVAL)?

Yes, we do.

WHAT SHOULD I/WE WEAR? 

Once your session is booked you will receive a welcome packet in the mail with a styling guide to help you plan your outfits for your session, we go over all color schemes that go together for both spring/summer and fall portraits with visuals designs.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER?

All of our products that we currently offer are listed on our investment page.

IF WE END UP NEEDING MORE TIME ON THE DAY OF THE SESSION, CAN IT BE ADDED ON THEN?

Currently we do not offer clients to add more time to their session as we may have another session booked shortly after yours is supposed to end at, we can schedule another session for the same location and package that was purchased beforehand if the client wishes to place an order for a new session.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE MY PORTRAITS?

While we never had this issue with any of our past clients before hand, we want to provide our clients with the best customer service possible. Our editing style is the same for all sessions, we do not change that, if you want to hire us but want a more bright & airy or moody & dark feel to them, we suggest hiring a photographer with that editing style as we can not change our editing style to something we don’t offer. Prices are listed and while they are subject to change without client notice, we always stick to the previous pricing on products/sessions if they have already fully reserved their session and have completed the payment for it.

HOW MUCH DO PORTRAIT SESSIONS END UP COSTING?

You can find all this information on our investment page. You pick out what session package you would like & the products you’re interested in from digital collections, framed prints, keepsake boxes and canvases. You are not obligated to purchase any more digitals, or wall art products.

DO YOU BRING AN ASSISTANT WITH YOU?

Yes, we always bring an assistant with us to help out with lighting & posing.

WHAT DAYS ARE YOU AVAILABLE TO SHOOT PORTRAIT SESSIONS?

While we are open everyday from 12-5pm, sessions take place during weekends only.

We are only closed on the following days:

January 1st & 4-8th.

February 14th-15th, 21st.

March 31st

August 6th-12th

September 6th-10th

October 31st

November 24-25th

December 23rd-31st.

CAN I ORDER MORE PRINTS/PRODUCTS LATER?

Yes of course, your online gallery stays active for 10 years so you can always re-download your images and order more products if you wish.

WHY DO I NEED TO COME TO THE VIEWING CENTER TO ORDER THE PRINTS/PRODUCTS?

We want to make sure you see the material first of all of our products, to see how they will be created and bring your images to life with your stunning wall art products and prints. We go over the process of creating your wall art products from your gallery of images and deliver the products right to your door.

WHY IS YOUR LOGO ON ALL THE PHOTOS? WILL THE LOGO BE ON THE PRINTS?

We put our logo on all images because we have had many people steal our images and use them as their own in the past, this ensures that this work is created by Paula Faerman Photography only, we own all copyright to all images. Yes our logo will be on all of your digital images and you not on the prints & any wall art products.

WHAT OTHER SESSION FEES OR TAXES ARE CHARGED?

Clients are in charge of purchasing parking for their location, any permits that the location might require, if they wish to purchase additional time to their session, any creative edits or re-edits, as well as rescheduling or cancelling 24 hours before their session. We do charge NJ Sales Tax on all sessions & products that you purchase.

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
